The other day I made some great vegetarian chili. It was the first time I tried the recipe, so I was happy with the results. Sauteing the onions, carrots, jalapeno, and garlic in olive oil Some more ingredients Ready to simmer for an hour All finished. Swiss chard has been added. It was delicious! I made strawberry shortcake for dessert. Here’s the butter with the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt mixture. I used the food processor to cut the butter in. Much easier than my hand held pastry blender. Shaped and cut Out of the oven Ready to eat It was really good as well. So the guinea pig is still doing ok. I haven’t weighed him today, so I don’t know if he’s gained any weight. He does seem to feel a lot better. My mom made a really cool spice cake a few weeks ago. I took a picture with the intention of posting it and forgot, so here it is. Even though I got the picture after a few pieces had been eaten, it was still very pretty. |
